90% of our riders and owners live in New York City, Brooklyn, Jersey City and travel an hour+ to get to us. We understand that living in a metro area can be hard to have horses, but also the need to have horses in your life means it is not negotiable. That is where we come in, we take care of your horses like they are our own. We change blankets, tweak feed, treat their feet, adjust feeding schedules, turnout and anything in between to keep your equine partner at their happiest and healthiest. We literally ponder what they need all hours of the night. We have an amazing group of affordable professionals that keep the horses feeling their best head to toe (magnawave, massage, farrier, barefoot trimmer, nutritionists, equine sports medicine specialist, etc). We send cute photos, or clips from their training rides, or when they decide to be mud monsters, we get that even if you can't be here you still want to know how they are. Because of all this we rarely have stall openings, most clients have been with us for 10 or more years.
Many of our clients show, but we are not a "show barn" in the traditional, showing all the time way. We attend a variety of recognized and unrecognized horse trials, 2 phases, jumper shows and have a large group of riders that like to hunter pace all over New Jersey and New York. We also spend 2-3 weeks in March in Aiken, South Carolina for Spring training. There are no showing or Aiken travel requirements to be in the Penwick program, but you do need to enjoy the training process, as we really love it, and take a lot of pride in the horses that we produce.
